Wow. Guys.
So, I just scrolled through my previous posts.
The one about Frederick is SO long.
You poor people.
I'm so sorry.
Today's will be short. I promise.
Okay. So Monday I had a voice lesson, right?
Well, I got to pick out new music.
And I picked a song.
That is actually a poem by Emily Dickinson.
It's called:
"Nobody Knows This Little Rose."
It's super cute and sweet.
The music sounds like a song from the Pride and Prejudice era.
Here's the poem:
.................................................................................
Nobody knows this little Rose --
It might a pilgrim be
Did I not take it from the ways
And lift it up to thee.
Only a Bee will miss it --
Only a Butterfly,
Hastening from far journey --
On its breast to lie --
Only a Bird will wonder --
Only a Breeze will sigh --
Ah Little Rose -- how easy
For such as thee to die!
It might a pilgrim be
Did I not take it from the ways
And lift it up to thee.
Only a Bee will miss it --
Only a Butterfly,
Hastening from far journey --
On its breast to lie --
Only a Bird will wonder --
Only a Breeze will sigh --
Ah Little Rose -- how easy
For such as thee to die!
...................................................................................
Isn't it cute? It's better with music.
I was gonna post a video, but all the YouTube recordings sound weird.
Alright, well I just wanted to share this little tid-bit with you!
